Jennifer Doig is a professional voice over talent with the delivery sense to provide a variety of styles to her reads. Her voice has been described as gentle, warm, friendly, caring, compassionate, conversational, young mom next door, approachable, happy, convincing, and intelligent.
Jennifer’s interest in voice over began when her daughter was born. Her and her husband furnished their daughter’s library with many books, believing that it was an essential and fun part of their daily routine with her.
Jennifer really enjoyed getting into the books, acting out the characters and stories rather than simply reading the words on the pages.
As kids are lone to do, she often requested to read the same books day after day, sometimes several times a day, which allowed Jennifer the ability to really bring the characters and stories to life in her voice.
She developed a keen sense to bring new books to life in the same fashion, even when reading new material for the first time.
Her daughter also loves to read marketing pamphlets, magazines, and catalogs that come in the mail, so the variety of reading that Jennifer was doing was vast.
Fast forward a few years and Jennifer jumped at an opportunity to attend a voice over class being offered locally. Not only did she love it, but she was told she had great potential.
She spent the next several months getting one-on-one coaching by professional voice over coaches. Her natural ability to bring words to life and desire to learn has helped propel her voice over career forward.
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in IT, and spent 13 years in the IT services industry.
